Things That Have Amused Me Recently

A man was walking his dog down Powell Street. Perched on top of the dog was a cat. Perched on top of the cat was a rat.
To sum up: The cat looked hungry. The fate of the rat concerns me.
At a bar, Saturday night:
“I’ve got steak in my purse…anyone want some?”
To sum up: Yes.
At Suppenkuche, Sunday night:
“What do you call someone who collects stamps?”
“A philatelist! I think. Because the word for stamp collecting is ‘philately’.”
A little later, the same person asked what wienerschnitzel is. I stared blankly down at my plate.
To sum up: I know the official term for stamp collecting, but had no idea what I was eating for dinner.
Today at work:
“What color IS that shirt?”
“Pink? Salmon? Melon? My mother gave it to me, along with a tie covered in flamingos.”
To sum up: “So your mother thinks you’re gay?”

Jennifer: That’s the problem with being the Girl Who Cried Moose. No one knows when you’re kidding. So, yes: Absolutely real. It was like the rat version of riding an elephant in Thailand.
