This breaks my heart, too, something awful.
When Domestic Partner and I had a huge fight, the late, great pug, Caesar was 13. DP wanted me to move out. I said that I would, but please let me stay until Caesar finishes living his life - I couldn't abandon the old guy during his last few months. He was the closest thing to ever having a son, as well as a tactile representation of my inner child.
(P.S. I didn't move out, even after Caesar had to be put down nine months later).

So I guess sneaking over to dog-nap Meeka back is out of the question, then? If it were me I'd totally consider it.

After one particularly heart-wrenching breakup I started missing an entire state. I thought I was losing my mind, but I missed the physical place, and he was really the only reason I would ever have to visit it.

Thanks everyone. It was really hard to leave the Meeka Dog, but necessary. I honestly just try not to think about it.

Especially since the subtitle of this post is: How To Make a Moose Cry
