It looks lovely! Very homey and inviting! And I’m very jealous of the lovely kitchen and that you have your very own sink.

If I come visit, can I request what kind of pie? It’s coming up on peach season. :)

  2. Nothing But Bonfires

And I must say that IN PERSON, it’s even lovelier. AS IF THAT WERE EVEN POSSIBLE. Want a roommate?

  3. Angella

    I want pie!

I am LOVING your new digs.

  4. Christy

I’m there dude! It’ll be a nice vacation from my family, and I’ll even bake YOU a pie (even though I have never done that in my life and have no idea how.) Your apartment is totally adorable.

  5. chirky

I’m heading to the Flickr set now – your kitchen is so cute! How could I not?

(What about cobbler? Will you be making cobblers? Blackberry?)

  6. Christina

Oh my, this place is adorable! I can completely understand why you picked it. LOVE IT!

  7. Catheroo

Yes. Charming! I love it. Speaking of baking…I still have your brownies. Well, I don’t still have them physically. They’re currently in the form of flour, sugar, chocolate chips and other baking essentials.

Thanks, guys! It makes me very happy. A room of one’s own, indeed. Now all I need to do is write compelling literary fiction that will guarantee me a spot in the canon.

Or maybe I’ll just bake lots of pies.

  9. Peter Varvel

    Love at first sight!
Compelling literary fiction or lots of pies, either one makes me want to pledge eternal slave/fan-hood to you.
    (greedy, gluttonous me wants both!)

I told Moose that if she didn’t watch out she was going to find out that people secretly hate her because her apartment is so cute, and her neighborhood is so awesome, and her garden is so serene, and…

    OKAY, I AM THAT PERSON!

  11. qtilla

Don’t tease me with pie. I have family in your region and am not opposed to begging for dessert.

Although knowing them they would bake me pies to prevent me from paying attention to anyone else.

Perhaps you could start a bake off!

  12. Sunny

Aw, I love your apatment! I think you have the exact same stove that I do – do you have cookie sheet problems as well? They just don’t fit – and I love cookies. Have I mentioned my jealousy over the fact that you have a pie cooling cabinet? It’s like your apartment is saying, “Hey, you, yeah, why don’t you eat some pie? It’s good, great even. See, I even have a cupboard for you to make pies. You know you want to.” Your apartment is a pie-pusher! And I love pie almost as much as cookies.

  13. Diane

I just peeked in your windows – virtually by Flickr – and love your new abode. It is cozy, warm and the floors are divine!

  14. Dingo

Delurking to tell you that yes, I am as in love with your new apartment as you are. The promise of pie did not factor into my apartment love. But I’ll take a slice anyway.

  15. Rhi

It’s darling! Now I have to go home and do something cute to my place. Like find the floor :)

  16. Lily

Oh man that is a cute little place to hang your hat. I’m so happy for you that you found somewhere great to start your new life. Looking forward to coming home is such a treat.

  17. Jemima

It is so wee and cute, I want to put it in my pocket like a cherry turnover…it will both keep me warm and be sweet and delicious all day long!

  18. tanya

charming! It is clearly a loved apartment.

  19. Sara

I can totally be in love with your apartment. It is adorable!

  20. Jennifer

Your new apartment is lovely! What a perfect place to begin a new life! And your pie-cooling cabinet is the perfect place for making cool pies.

  21. Linsey

    mmm…pie. :)

Previously you wrote about a pie-cooling cubby or something like it — any photos with a pie cooling?

  24. Moose's paw

    Hi Kid,

In honor and celebration of your new digs, may I suggest that you (somehow) expand the banner graphic on the top of your web page to include a slice of pie overflowing with way too many sweet, tart cherries.

After all, if you have this elegant pie cooling rack and this offer to all of us drooling, starving people to cook pie, a luscious piece of pie to further tantalize us in your banner would be apropos.

As you well know, I would be more than willing to help you clean up all that extra cherry pie after the photo shoot.

  25. Bill

Yes, photo of a pie cooling.

Right now I have artichokes cooling on the BBQ pit out back. Not the same sort of mental image, know what I mean?

  26. metalia

I like pie (hint, hint). The new place looks beyond adorable…just like you. :)

  27. Maureen

I LOVE it! It has Character. I am a wee bit jealous of your wee kitchen!

  28. Heidi the Hick

I absolutely do LOVE your wee apartment! Love the woodwork, the floors, the tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. It’s so cozy.

You’ve obviously done a great job of making it yours. It’s a wonderful home!
