MooseLibs

Posted by Moose on January 24th, 2008. Filed under: My Brain Needs a Drink.

My grasp of words has been [_____] today. I keep pausing mid-sentence, snapping my fingers while my mouth silently opens and closes like a [_____] sturgeon, trying to remember what combination of letters express an idea like “fork”. It’s disconcerting, especially when I find myself in the company of people who expect conversation more [_____] than I usually bestow on the dog and the couch.

It’s Nutrasweet, I tell ya. It’s eating away at our short-term memory. I swear to Buddha there’s a direct, um . . . (crap)uh . . . correlation! when I allow myself to indulge in the evil blue packets at any given java joint.

    Who are you, again?

In true madlibs spirit, I went and stuck my finger on three different spots in the dictionary:
    quarrel
    nag
    lyrebird
Wow, you were having word problems. :)

I’m so glad other people’s vocabularies are working. My faith in human-kind is renewed.

That was hilarious! I have days like that all too often. Glad I’m not the only one, though I suppose I shouldn’t wish it on anyone just so I feel less lonely.
