once you do all the regular stuff (if the weather is clear, GO to the top of the space needle--the views are stunning. mountains in all directions!), here are a few things that i love about my hometown...

jb gave you some great options in that link
i'd vote for time at Pike's Place market, and lunch at Etta's (it's at the end of the market, it's a Tom Douglas restaurant if that means anything to you, and its delicious!)
the space needle is fine, if you're not afraid of heights and if its a clear day and if you're in to that sort of thing
while you're waiting in the shadows of the needle you can go to the Experience Music Project - even to just take pictures of this amazing Frank Gehry building is worth it
you'll have fun and eat well
pack layers - could be 80 and clear or 60 and drizzling

Let me guess, you're going to Seattle for the weekend. Aren't you? While you're enjoying Seattle, I will be enjoying your fair city. Lovely.

Oooh! If you have time, the Underground Tour is super, super cool: http://www.undergroundtour.com/

Olympic National Park is freaking fantastic, but it's a bit of a drive from Seattle.

Take your rain jacket, and have a great time!

Hmmm... all I know is that there is a lot of coffee and rain. So bring an umbrella and a mug. And maybe something to pee in, in case you have too much coffee and can't find a toilet. Have fun!
