If I Could Get Her On Water-Skiis, My Life Would Be Complete

There is a very confused dog guarding the door. She sees sleeping bags being wrestled into canvas sacks and bathing suits being checked for mold and she is concerned. Concerned that we might be going somewhere fun, somewhere with squirrels, and not planning to bring her along. So she’s lying in wait, ears perked, tail idly marking the time, ready to TAKE US DOWN if we try to step over her on the way out the door.

Don’t worry, dog. You are going camping with us. There will be squirrels. But you won’t be so thrilled once you see the list of chores I’ve prepared for you, chores that prominently feature channeling the internet through your pointy ears and fetching me beer while I lounge by the lake.

    have a grand time! we just came back from our first trip with the dogs, and i think they had even more fun than we did. although, i didn’t think to teach them to fetch me beer. so sad.

    I hate camping. There are no showers, no toilets, no beds. But you? You have fun. Somebody’s got to.

    if you could get a dog to channel wireless through its pointy ears, I might consider getting a dog. And perhaps going camping.

    Man, there is nothing more happy than a city dog who’s been rolling in dirt and chasing wild critters all day. Bliss. Have fun!

    I want to go CAMPING!!! By a lake. You can swim in. Oh have fun!!

    I think maybe your life would be the most complete if you could get Meeka to PULL someone (you) on water skis. I’m sure she’d love it! It might be kind of a slow trip for you though…

    Yeah, we’re packing for a bike trip and the dog is looking very worried. Unfortunately, neither one of us bought the bike with the side car, so she can’t go. Have fun!
