First, SQUEE for Italy! So excited for you.

Second, I love your stuffed moose! Does she have a name?

Third, the roaming gnome idea as well as the gnome itself was blatantly stolen from the fabulous French film Amelie, so don't feel so bad about copying. :) I have a similar traveling toy, Mouseman (http://flickr.com/photos/susiejulie/sets/72157600062196482/). He even has a blog (http://themousemanchronicles.blogspot.com/), and he'd love to have some friends on there with him, so check him out (you too, Sphincter)!

Thanks all! Pictures are coming soon. And may I just say that the stuffed ostrich with its own passport entertains me mightily. No wonder my moose got pulled out and inspected at airport security. No passport. And he does look particularly menacing.

Have fun! My husband and I do something similar with a tiny stuffed ostrich named Charles. He even has his own passport. The Hub attached it to his little wing. It's got a real photo of him on it.

What?

Hi there!

This is incredible ... I knew you were going to Italy but didn't realize when until now. Mrs. Toast is going to be in Venice at the very same time you are next week (she leaves today)! I was thinking y'all might want to meet up at Cafe Nico (on the Fondamenta Zattiere) or something just to say hi and share a gelato. I realize neither of you know each other from Adam, but what the hey. Drop me a note at my email address here if you're interested and I'll try to coordinate it from here.

Abbia un buon viaggio!!
