16th and Valencia

Posted by Moose on February 9th, 2007. Filed under: Nice Things.

Tonight I sat alone in a biker bar, drinking root beer and reading a book about pirates. Then I got a call informing me that I was in the wrong place. I arrived at the right place five blocks away to find them discussing motorcycle sidecars and the importance of monkeys as passengers.

I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE.

Did getting to the proper location include forking over any bridge tolls? Oh, I am so cruel today!

    Excellent.

p.s. I recommend that next time you’re in a bar, you should DRINK a Sidecar….mmmmm. (Brandy, triple sec, lime juice…yum).

Nora: No. It did involve parking multiple times in the Mission. I would have preferred a few bridges.

Squid: There was indeed pleather. And much questionable facial hair.

Why: Sidecars are my very favorite drink. There is, right at this moment, a bottle of brandy and cointreau sitting on my counter just waiting to made into a sidecar.

Dude! I have been trying to convince everyone (since I came back from Guatemala) that I NEED to have a spider monkey as a pet! And I want to get a Vespa this year….now all I need to look into is the sidecar! I hadn’t thought of it, but what a perfect way to travel with my pet spider monkey. (pic of said (ok, not really mine) spider monkey on my blog)

Now that you mentioned it, I’d like to find a bar that serves rootbeer. Not only that, I’m adding rootbeer to my grocery list.

A book on pirates! I knew my weekend was missing something.

(Have you ever had organic root beer? It is CLEAR, and wonderful. And CLEAR.)
