This is Puck

Surveying the land

Puck likes shoe laces, house plants, and throwing himself against walls at high speed. I’ll let him out of the cage, give him his crack (a raisin) and turn toward my crack (the glowing computer screen). Seconds later, I hear a loud furry thud. Puck has just backed up to the far end of the room, scampered forward as fast as his little legs will carry him and jumped to hit the door at a height of about three feet. (P.S. He’s not very tall.) He’ll turn in the air as he rebounds off, scrabbling madly to do it again as soon as his little claws gain purchase on the floor.

Chinchillas aren’t very smart but they sure are bouncy. Perhaps I should tell him to lay off the raisins.

Aw! That’s so sad, but cute. One of my kitties used to run into walls when she got overstimulated.

Puck bears a disturbing resemblance to my Great Aunt Tessie. Does he smoke a pipe and wear his underwear as a nightcap?
