I Like My Car Too, But Come On
Posted by Moose on October 18th, 2006. Filed under: I Live to Eat.Last night, we went to In ‘n’ Out Burger. The line of cars for the drive-up window wrapped all the way around the parking lot and into the street. Using a cunning sense of time management and a greater than average willingness to employ two of our four limbs, we got out of the car, walked across the parking lot, through the doors and straight up to the cash register. We were eating our hamburgers before the car ahead of us had even reached the order window.

I have an unnatural fear of drive-through windows, I will wait inside for hours if it means I don’t have to use those damn little speakers.

It’s really amazing how many people these days will not spend the little extra time to get better service for THEMSELVES! I have employed this trick (of walking) several times to my advantage.

I live right by an In and Out. Pass it every day…and the line of 20 cars from open til close. I will never understand.

I’ve never been to an In N Out. Is it like McDonald’s? Doesn’t sound very “In N Out” to me with such long lines. It’s so sad that we’re too lazy that we can’t even walk 20 ft to get our food. Drive thru’s are only convenient when 1)it’s raining 2)I’m in a mad rush and probably late for something. And more than likely I’m in situation #2 or else I wouldn’t be eating fast food anyway.

meredith – because it is the MOST delicious fast food hamburger that doesn’t make you regret that you ate it before the wrapper even hits the floorboard of your car…. and the FRIES… Oh.My.God……
