Deep Thoughts

How jaded do you have to be to watch four jets fly six inches apart in perfect unison at 600 miles an hour, costing a thousand dollars a minute to do it, and think, ‘Wow, I’m kind of bored?’

Yeah…I hate air shows. Jets screaming overhead, defying death and gravity and I’m all “Meh…Wanna get some nachos after?!?”

I actually loved the show. For about ten minutes. The remaining half an hour was spent planning dinner and being startled by loud noises.

Read my post on desensitization. Clearly you’ve seen Top Gun too many times. :)

    “Where’d who gooooo?”

That always leads me to singing (very badly) Danger Zone and eventually just staring and drooling as I recap the lovely volleyball scene in my head.

I love me a good air show :)

I think that kinda stuff is very boring as well.

On a scale of one to 10, I would say that is a 6 on the jaded scale. However don’t feel bad, most people who score that are likely to keep coffee in their fridge.

Don’t worry about it, flying is for the birds.

I’m with you – air shows are pretty and awe inspiring for about ten minutes, and then afterward, I’m all “what? another PLANE? I just SAW ONE.”

there is nothing jaded about it. it’s realistic. it’s honest. it’s true. it’s american. it’s simple. it’s beautiful. it’s righteous. it’s freeing.

    it’s super-calla-fragalistically ex-pee-al-ih-doe-shous.

it is, all things considered, very moose.

…how’s that for jaded? eh? eh?

That’s why they call it Fleet Week. Its joys are fleeting.
